Crafting pool and spa perfection across the Melbourne region

Poorly Installed Heat Pump Repair, Brougham Street, Kew

We ecountered this poorly performing heat pump in Kew. With an extremely poor placement under an overhead awning and too close to the wall. We've used our in-house electrician to shift the power isolator and conduit, while Palatial Pools have replumbed the heat pump with sufficient clearance and enough room for airflow. There also wasn't a bypass for the heat pump, with 1.5hp pump pushing too much water through the unit, preventing water heating. While onsite we've also replumbed their acid injection and probes which were incorrectly placed vertical and acid injecting before the cell.

Cracked Autofill Pipe, Fairy Street, Ivanhoe

Unfortunately for this owner, their old copper autofill pipe has cracked due to a shifting concrete garden bed. This was causing the overflow pit to continue filling, washing out the pool balance. To avoid core drilling through the garden bed to replace the copper pipe, we've used an industrial marine epoxy with a Sikiflex surface sealant and have managed to completely repair the crack. We saved our client thousands of dollars in repair costs.

Failed Chlorinator Unit, Brunswick East

We arrived to service this pool and immediately discovered a significant suction leak through the existing acid dosing injection point, we also identified a total failure of the chlorinator unit. We've quoted a replacement unit that is easier for the owner to maintain and does not require probes for calibration. We've used the Pool Controls SWC35 unit with in-built algorithmic dosing, completely removing the need for probe calibration or replacement. This unit is made in Australia and is built to last well beyond the competitor brands.

Pool Restoration, Acid Wash, Kew

Often when a house is sold, the power is also disconnected, leading to disastrous conditions such as this pool below. It had been left in disarray for months.
We completely drained the pool in order to return it to 110% and acid washed all surfaces to remove ingrained staining and splotches.

Infloor Cleaning Module Failure, South Yarra

If you have infloor cleaning and it's stuck on one jet, or multiple jets are open at once - your module may have failed. We attend lots of these calls each year and nine times out of ten the module looks exactly like this. Easily repaired by Palatial Pools.

Major Pool Equipment Upgrade, Kew

This pool had aging and poorly operating equipment. Palatial Pools have completely revamped this system with a new 430mj gas heater, 28" filter, Naked Freshwater System, an efficient variable speed pump and new plumbing.
It now heats the entire pool (40k) in less than 4 hours, as opposed to 8 hours previously.
If your pool shop can't complete work like this, you need Palatial.

Madimac Heat Pump Installation, Heidelberg

We've installed this 25kw Madimac Eco Heat Pump at a pool in Heidelberg, which previously only had an inefficent 25 year old gas heater. The client now saves money all year long.

New Pool, Fixtures Fitout, Essendon

Once a new pool is finished, the piping infrastructure needs to be carefully removed in order to fit fixtures such as suction covers and returns. Unfortunately for our client, the tiling wasn't completed very well. We've managed to salvage the presentation by carefully removing excess pipe and using the fittings to cover any issues with the construction.

Sand Filter Crack, Hawthorn

We often come across hairline cracks in old sand filters. As the plastic ages (over 10-15 years) there are often small micro-cracks which form, reducing performance and causing the loss of precious water. This pool in Hawthorn had this exact issue. We identified the leak, and replaced the filter the next day.

Media Change, Toorak

Your sand filter requires media changes in frequencies that depend on the type of media inside it. Sand needs to be changed every 5 years, whilst Zeolite should be changed every 5-7 years. Glass based media can last upwards of 10-15 years depending on the maintenance (backwashing) it has received.

Poorly Reading Probes, Kew

Have you got chemistry probes? These probes require frequent maintenance and many shops won't bother to clean them correctly. After a period of time they will refuse to read your water correctly, contributing to increase chemical costs (acid and chlorine primarily). Our regular service clients receive 5 star attention to their probes - reducing overall costs and improving equipment realiabilty.

Customised LED Light Installations, Kew

Have you got old Halogen lights? Palatial Pools can (no matter the difficulty) replace these lights with efficient and long lasting LED lights.

Acid Wash, Port Melbourne

Contaminates can ruin the appearance of your new swimming pool, which is exactly why Palatial Pools offers a comprehensive acid wash service. We'll return your pool to a brand new condition and for a fair, affordable price.

New Pool Comissioning, Acid Wash, Mt Waverly

We don't know why this is so common, however builders will often leave their newly constructed pools in a state of disrepair and their clients on their own. We often visit these fresh pools, requiring a total drain and acid wash to remove construction debris such as concrete and piles of dirt.
This industry and their customers deserve better service and more professional operators.
When your builder leaves your investment disgusting, Palatial is here to restore it - Don't settle for subpar.

Complete System Upgrade, Canterbury

This 20+ year old system had a major upgrade with a new Neptune Heat Pump, Pool Controls SG10 Chlorinator, a Neptune filter pump and a new Neptune Sand Filter (now containing glass)

Equipment Move, Northcote

A client needed their equipment moved to clear up space in the backyard. Palatial Pools have completed the move including trench digging and re-commissioning.

Heat Pump Installation, Macleod

Here we've installed the massive 31.5kw Neptune Heat Pump. It's been paired with the Pool Controls SG30 chlorinator and acid doser. A big upgrade in heating for this 40k volume pool.

Chlorinator Upgrade, Macleod

Palatial Pools have swapped out an undersized chlorinator for the long life Pool Controls SWC35 chlorinator. With thicker plates, this system will perform well into the future.

Spa Leak Repair, Essendon

This spa in Essendon was losing water at a fast rate. Palatial Pools discovered that the aging central manifold had some hairline cracks. We've managed to fix the leak by replacing the entire manifold and brittle hoses, increasing this spas life well into the future.

Equipment Move, Kew

This client in Kew needed to move their entire equipment setup 20m in the opposite direction to make room for exterior renovations of the swimming pool.

Filter Upgrade, Kew

We've upgraded this old and leaking filter with the new Neptune 28" fibreglass filter. A massive increase in filtering capacity and quality.
Installed for $1495.00 including removal of old media, plumbing and labour.

Full System Upgrade, Essendon

We've completely revamped this clients equipment in Essendon by replacing their aging and poorly performing filter with the massive 28" Neptune sand filter. We've also installed the workhorse SG30 mineral chlorinator  from Pool Controls. This pool can now handle a higher bather load and run reduced filtration times with the addition of an economical  variable speed pump.

Custom Fibreglass Light Install

This old fibreglass plunge pool originally had some unusual lights installed. These had been purchased from a factory in China directly, which made finding a direct replacement close to impossible. Our boutique service allows us to tackle the most challenging jobs and get the absolute best results at the same time.

We've carefully removed the existing light using a heat gun to destroy the glue. Then the original cables have been tested for any corrosion or damage. Finally a Spa Electrics AGRX light has been retrofitted and sealed back onto the fibreglass surface using a specialised underwater sealant (non-permanent). This allows the light to be changed in the future, whilst also sealing out any potential water leaks through the fibreglass. The new cabling is triple heat wrapped and filled with lanolin oil to effectively provide lifelong water ingress protection.

New Pool Construction Fitout

We love fitting out new swimming pools! Often builders will not plumb their newly constructed pools in a way that is suitable for future maintenance. Palatial Pools services pools every single day, so our equipment fitouts are designed with the owner and maintainer in mind. Easy access to equipment, correct pipe runs and valves plus an overall tidy, professional appearance.
Let Palatial Pools plumb your new pool and future proof your investment!
